The newly constructed Elmwood Plaza, located at 176-178 Newington Road in the Elmwood neighborhood of West Hartford, has sold for $14.25 million, or approximately $178 per square foot. Winstanley Enterprises, LLC sold the grocery anchored shopping center to Inland Real Estate. Elmwood Plaza won “Best in Class” Commercial Project from the Connecticut Real Estate Exchange in 2011.
Elmwood Plaza was built in 2011 and contains 80,000 square feet of space. The shopping center is anchored by a Stop & Shop. The new Stop & Shop offers amenities such as a sushi bar, cheese shop, and an Energy Management System designed to minimize energy use. Other tenants include Yogurt City, Sliders Grill & Bar, and Farmington Bank. The shopping center is located in the southeast corner of West Hartford, near both the Newington and Hartford borders, with approximately 282,000 residents who reside within a five mile radius of the property.
