Equity One, Inc. recently closed on the purchase of Darinor Plaza, a 152,000 S.F. shopping center located at 500 Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk. Darinor Plaza transferred for $36 million or $237/SF. The center is 100% leased to tenants including Kohl’s, Old Navy, and Party City. Earlier this year, Equity One completed the purchase of Compo Acres in Westport for $30.3 million ($708/SF); and Post Road Plaza in Darien for $12.7 million ($633/SF).
Darinor Plaza was acquired as part of a $260 million portfolio, with other assets including Clocktower Plaza in Queens for $56 million ($710/SF), Westwood Complex in Bethesda, MD for $140 million ($652/SF), and a retail condo at 1225 Second Avenue in New York City for $27.5 million ($1,489/SF).
