Joint venture partners The Wilder Cos. and Principle Real Estate Investors have purchased the 100,000 square foot shopping center for $29 million. The property is in an ideal location for retail, located right on Route 44 and easily accessed from Route 10, and neighboring the towns of Canton, Simsbury and West Hartford. People living in these areas have an average household income of nearly $160,000 annually as well as 63% having at least a bachelor’s degree.
The property, known as Shops at Nod Brook, is only part of the 1.2 million square foot shopping strip in one of the most desirable trade areas in the United States. The Shops at Nod Brook have well known retail shops such as Marshalls, Michael’s and the Fresh Market. Many of the retail shops in this strip include national brands such as Starbucks, J.Crew, Dick’s, HomeGoods as well as many more.
